Short-term parking
Short-term parking: a clear duration, split or not
An hour outside the town hall, two hours in the town centre: short-term parking keeps spaces turning over without charging for them. With QR Blue, declaring by QR replaces the disc for everyone, and your by-law decides whether the duration is taken in one go or split over the day.

What municipalities face
A disc moved forward on return
The disc is turned at every visit: the maximum duration is never really respected.
Regulars who chain their stays
Without a daily cap, the same vehicle can keep the space all day by leaving for a few minutes and turning the disc.
Officers without a reliable reference
The time set on a disc cannot be verified: checks rely on good faith.
Rules that differ by area
One hour here, two hours there, hours specific to each district: rules that vary are hard to enforce.
What QR Blue brings
- One zone = one maximum duration, time slots and, if needed, extensions
- A duration in one go, or split: a daily cap spread over several stays
- A minimum wait between two stays to prevent leaving and returning straight away
- One QR code per group of spaces, on the zone's signs, with no app for drivers
- Checks by plate or by QR code, with the authorised end time
- Residents and other permit holders exempted by their badge, with no extra step
Features used
Frequently asked questions
What is a split duration?
A daily cap, for example two hours, that drivers use in one or several stays. Each stay started counts in full, even if the driver leaves earlier: the duration cannot be bypassed by leaving and coming back.
And if the duration must not be split?
The maximum duration of one stay is then equal to the daily cap: drivers take it in one go, and a new stay is only possible the next day.
Does declaring by QR replace the disc?
Yes, for the whole zone, if your by-law provides for it: each driver declares their parking by scanning the QR code on the signs. QR Blue does not manage paper-disc blue zones, only their exemptions.
Can an extension be granted?
Yes, per zone: number of extensions and length of each, within the daily cap and the regulated time slots.
Do residents need to declare their parking?
No, if their badge is authorised on the zone: it counts as an exemption, and officers see it when checking the plate.
